Filmmaker Carlo Vogele produced this great but short tragedy about a fish which he bought on the fish market of Tokyo. Based on the Opera song “Una Furtiva Lagrima” (from L’Elisir d’Amore) performed by Enrico Caruso in 1904 he made a heartbreaking short film about the fate of the fish. The concept is minimal and yet perfect in execution.¬†This film from 2011 visited many film festivals like Telluride, Annecy, Hiroshima, Ottawa and various others. The title of the film is the Extracto Lagrima (extract of tears) and got online for about 21,000 views.
