Juriaan Booij filmed Can City: a beautiful up tempo shortfilm about a production process in the streets of São Paulo. The craft is so pure and fascinating, the final end so beautifully, that the movie is shared by over 60,000 viewers within a month. We see a man searching for empty cans. With his mobile furnace he will melt the aluminium waste. The liquid metal is then poured into prepared moulds. All the materials used are durable. With this film the designers of Studio Swine developed a prototype for Catadores (waste collectors). The film was made in commission by Coletivo Amor de Madre Gallery, São Paulo. And of course Heineken is the smart sponsor of this artistic project.
