They still exist, the classic corporate films in which proud products are packed in the styrofoam of lifestyle and a cosmopolitan world. This is the new corporate film of Philips, that wants to show its history of extinct success numbers. But also the latest food processors, toothbrushes, led light, surgical technique and razors. And all those topics are shredded in a commercial of less than two minutes, with a voice that we even think to recognise from Detroit (Chrysler). It’s a nowadays variation of an outdated type of film. I wonder if it still works, so much self-reflective encouragement.
