Kogonada is a Japanese movie lover. And he examines the favourite camera views of the grand masters. Sometimes he makes an inventory of top-shots. And then again one-point-perspectives have his attention. In this very recent clip it’s all about symmetry. And in particular the symmetry in the frames of film-maker Wes Anderson. Now this particular director produced recently the film “The Grand Budapest Hotel“. And in this film we find quite a lot of symmetry. Kogonada chose the right music for this short film. And so we see a nice collection of Wes Anderson’s symmetrical shots. Watch them both, this playful clip and also “The Grand Budapest”.
